Mary gets all band-wagony.
And doesn't study, even though her maths exam was decidedly ungood. So instead of learning that the proof that a graph is planar is:
v - e + f = 2 , proved by induction,
she is listening to 100 Ways, joining that friendly neighbourhood message board, and cringing quietly to herself due to conversation with Tim and Rhys which went something along the lines of:
Mary: Yes, I was studying. [sarcastically.]
Rhys: I was watching through your window, and I didn't see you studying. Saw you getting dressed though. [he was joking.]
Mary: Oh.......
Rhys: And Tim was there too.
Tim: Yeah, I'm the guy with the video camera.
Mary: Well, you guys evidently have exciting lives.
Rhys: And Brendon's in charge of the website.
Tim: Yeah, have you googled yourself lately?
Fear strikes the heart of Mary. I hope no-one takes it into their head to actually TRY that.
[the googling. And the stalking, for that matter.]
The message board won't let me join. Bastards. No, wait, it's hidden in the junk mail. Sorry.
In other news, it's November 2 in the states. 10 bucks says it's a lawyer's battle in the end.
