Once upon a time....
Back in late March of 2000, Steff discovered a group called *Nsync and introduced them to Mary (figuratively). Mary immediately started laughing, and by early April the site that would grow up to be The Nsyncerator was born : Marymary's *Nsync Humor Site.Mary soon tired of that deeply original name, and as she began to learn HTML she made her first frames layout and changed the name of the site at the same time: "I Have Too Much Spare Time: An *Nsync site".
But that was not to last that long either: On May 4th (This was a coindence, I didn't find out when Lance was born until august) 2000, The *Nsyncerator was born.
And there, in a nutshell, we have the story of my descent into scareish freakiness.
I've just been doing a tour of the old humour section of the site before it became defunct, and it amuses me. Some stand-out moments:
The entire parodies section. In particular I recommend Hairy Mop, Toby, Buy Buy Buy [i don't wanna have to give up/buy our cd even though we suck....okay, so I wrote it but still.] and From Mississippi. [which only works if you say it "Mississipay."
Also the n-files. Steer clear of wtf, because it's not funny. Neither is Lance is Evil. It had potential, but never happened. Also the fanfiction is a good thing to avoid. Let us all cringe in unison.
I wish, I wish, I wish I had a copy of the one where lance goes to space. Because it is brilliant.
